SiftWP — Weekly WordPress Vulnerability Scanner & Fixes
SSH-KEY AUTH · NEVER YOUR ADMIN PASSWORD

Your WordPress site, sifted every week — without you thinking about it.

SiftWP connects through a dedicated SSH key, runs a full security scan, then sends an AI agent to investigate and fix what it safely can — pausing on anything risky, escalating what it can't reach.

01 — THE DIFFERENCE

Not a plugin. Not your password. Just one key.

Nothing to install

SiftWP never adds a plugin to your WordPress site. No extra code running on your server, nothing new to update, nothing new that can break — or be broken into.

A dedicated SSH key per site

You import a SiftWP-generated SSH key into cPanel. That's the whole connection. It gives SiftWP shell access to that one cPanel account only (never WHM or root), it's unique to each site you add, and you can revoke it any time by deleting the key in cPanel.

Never your admin password

We don't ask for it, we don't store it, we don't want it. Your wp-admin credentials stay yours — SiftWP works entirely outside them.

02 — HOW IT WORKS

Three steps. Then you forget about it.

Step 1

Connect your site

Import the SSH key SiftWP generates for you into cPanel. Two minutes, no plugin, no admin password — and you can revoke it any time.

Step 2

The weekly sift runs

Every week, an automated scan combs your core file integrity, database, and uploads folder, and the AI agent investigates everything it finds.

Step 3

Fixed safe, asked risky

The agent auto-fixes what's provably safe. Anything risky comes to you first with a plain-language explanation and an approve/decline button.

03 — EVERY WEEK

Why is your WordPress site attacked every week?

90,000

Sites attacked every minute

Most owners find out only after the damage is done — broken pages, stolen data, or a Google blacklist warning.

04 — WHAT PLUGINS MISS

What does SiftWP catch that other plugins miss?

Corrupted core files

Malicious versions swapped in silently to replace legitimate WordPress core files.

Hidden backdoors

Injection points buried deep in your database — invisible to surface-level plugin scans.

Credential-harvesting scripts

Malicious code buried inside theme files, silently collecting your visitors' login data.

Suspicious patterns

Behavioral anomalies and obfuscated code that keyword scanners never flag.

Consultant-level rigor

Deep scans that go far beyond what any plugin can offer.

Zero guesswork

AI investigates every flag before anything is touched on your site.

You stay in control

Approve risky fixes on your terms — SiftWP never acts without you on the big stuff.

05 — ALSO ON BOARD

While we're in there: an AI on-page SEO audit.

The same access that sifts your security also reviews your pages — titles, meta, headings, structure — and files a prioritized list of fixes. Security keeps you online; this helps you get found.

07 — FAQ

Asked, answered.

What access do you actually need?
Just SSH access to your hosting account — never your WordPress admin password, and never your hosting account's master password. We generate a dedicated key you import through your host's control panel.
What happens if a fix goes wrong?
Nothing is ever deleted — flagged files are quarantined, not removed, so anything can be restored. Anything beyond a well-understood, reversible fix stops and asks you first.
What if my host doesn't give me the access you need?
If a fix needs server-level access we don't have, SiftWP drafts the exact support ticket for you to send your host — it won't pretend to fix something it can't reach.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — subscriptions are month-to-month, no contract. Unused credits stay on your account even if you pause a plan.
Do I need to install a plugin?
No. SiftWP connects over SSH, not through a WordPress plugin — so there's no extra code running on your site, no plugin to keep updated, and no added attack surface inside WordPress itself.
What counts as "safe to auto-fix"?
Reversible, well-understood changes — quarantining a known-malicious file, resetting file permissions, restoring a core file from the official WordPress source. Anything ambiguous, destructive, or specific to your setup gets flagged for your approval instead of touched automatically.
Will scans slow down my site or my server?
No. Scans run from SiftWP's infrastructure over SSH, not as a process on your server, so there's no added load on page requests and no impact on visitor-facing performance.
What hosts and WordPress setups are supported?
Any host that gives you SSH or SFTP access to your WordPress files — that covers the large majority of hosts, including most shared, VPS, and managed WordPress plans. Multisite is supported.
Can I revoke SiftWP's access later?
Yes, anytime — delete the SSH key from your hosting control panel and access stops immediately. Nothing SiftWP installed needs to be "uninstalled" because nothing was ever installed on the site itself.
Does anyone at SiftWP see my files or data?
Scans are automated. A human only reviews something if you explicitly escalate a flagged issue to support — we don't browse customer sites as a matter of course.
How is this different from a security plugin like Wordfence?
A plugin runs inside WordPress and watches traffic in real time; SiftWP runs outside WordPress over SSH and checks the files and configuration themselves on a schedule. It's a complementary layer, not a real-time firewall — many customers run both.
What if SiftWP finds something it can't fix?
It drafts the exact steps or support ticket needed — including cases where the fix requires host-level access SiftWP doesn't have — so you're never left with just a vague warning.
